FLAUNT COLORFUL BRIGHTS ALL YEAR
:: tiffany wayne photography ::
One thing that is sure to always help better my mood on a cold winter day is to put on a fun, bright color. If you think you have to put all your bright clothing and accessories away just because the temp has dropped? Good news! The times of storing away your entire summer wardrobe and switching it out for strictly heavy dark colors are over. My dear friend and stylist, Nichole Kristen is my go-to women when my clients need a stylist. I recently glammed her up in her beautiful new town house for her baby shower. Not only does she dress well, her taste in interior design is fantastic! She is also so so sweet, she even texts me when she spots a piece she thinks would look great on me. Nichole’s best assets are her ability to understands one’s taste and budget. I felt like I would need a bigger closet when Nichole started talking about all the possibilities, but she calmed my fear of going over my budget and how brights (especially when paired with black) can now be worn year round!
Flaunt colorful brights this winter with these few tips from Stylist Nichole Kristen: Personal Shopping and Styling
Tip 1: Always pair summer bright dresses with black tights (patterned or plain) and add warm winter pieces.
Take a bright color sleeveless shift dress like the one below from Lilly Pulitzer and pair with black tights, black patent leather closed toe heels and basic black cardigan OR ruffle scarf:
Tip 2:When pairing bright color winter (or summer) accessories with year round clothing, always use black as your starting piece and don’t be afraid to accessorize!
Year round LBD (little black dress) paired with black patent leather heels and your favorite statement summer necklace. Black tights aren’t necessary with this look, you can also opt for nude stockings or bare legs and add a black cardigan with a little “flare” for warmth:
Tip 3: Get creative! It’s okay to incorporate more than one bright color in the winter (I wouldn’t recommend going beyond two though). We all need some bright colors in our days to help us look forward to Spring!
Both of these looks incorporate more than one bright color without losing that seasonal look:
